Autumn McPherson, MAcCHM, LMT

I’m a licensed massage therapist and soon-to-be acupuncturist with a wide-ranging education in natural medicine and a passion for holistic health. Comfortable with both biological sciences and traditional medical theory, I am interested in what helps people heal from within.

My interest in healthcare began while earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The University of Kansas in 2008. During my undergraduate education, I gained deep interest in systems theory and traditional healing practices, along with growing curiosity about our place among nature as human beings.

When I later experienced a health crisis, I felt guided to apply the same values and principles to my own body that I had learned about nurturing any complex system (whether an ecosystem or an individual) back to health. Bodywork, acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, and self-care techniques supported me back to a vibrancy that was greater than I ever expected. I became inspired to learn more and help others, and my fascination with the human body’s innate capacity for self-healing has only continued to grow ever since.

Over the last decade, I have studied naturopathic medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, classical homeopathy, Chinese medicine, various bodywork techniques, and more, completing courses at several renowned natural medicine schools in the US. I completed massage therapy certification through a joint program between Bastyr University and Bellevue Massage School in 2016. In 2018, I completed the New England School of Homeopathy program in Classical Homeopathy.

After many years of in-depth study at both classical and traditional Chinese medicine schools, I graduated in April 2024 with a Master of Acupuncture with Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization degree from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas. I am a NCCAOM Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and am awaiting receiving my acupuncture licensure from the State of Texas.

While continuing to integrate new knowledge and skills into my practice, I enjoy working with people who also see their path to health as one full of potential for personal growth.
